When to Sow Agastache Zuni Seeds

Sow February to April and plant out May to June.

Flowers

July to October.

Where to Sow

Sow seeds on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed sowing compost in pots or trays. Cover the seed with a very fine sprinkling of vermiculite and place at a temperature between 15-20°C. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 14-21 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3") pots or trays.

What to do Next

Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after risk of frost, 30cm (12") apart. For best results provide a rich, light well-drained soil in full sun. Plants will prove hardy if wet winter conditions are avoided.

Handy Tip

Plant in drifts of 5-7 plants to create an impact in your border.
