Nasturtiums are annual flowers that are very easy to grow from seed. They are fast growing and have a trailing and climbing habit, so these bright and bold flowers can fill gaps in your borders, cascade over hanging baskets or creep up trellis. Nasturtium whirlybird is a popular variety with bright colours!
Nasturtiums are edible flowers -  The flower, leaves and seed can all be eaten, and have a peppery flavour, similar to radishes! A great way to add interest to a salad, rather than adding micro greens, add in some edible flowers. They're tasty too!

Nasturtium seeds can be sown under glass in March at 16°C or direct into open ground from late April. They will flower from June to September.
Occasionally, nasturtiums attract black fly, so it may be worthwhile growing some near your broad beans to draw them away.
