Tomatillos are related to tomatoes, and are grown in the same manner but they are even easier to grow! Hugely popular in Mexico, in which they are native to. Mainly used in salads and salsas giving a tarter, tangier flavour. The flavour is weirdly like a cross between a lime and a beefsteak tomato! Fresh, ripe tomatillos will keep in the refrigerator for about two weeks, or longer if their paper-like husks are removed and stored in a sealed bag. Sow from February to March.
