When to Sow Candy Mountain Foxglove Seeds

March to June

Where to Sow

Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost and cover with a very light sprinkling of vermiculite. Place sown container in a propagator or a warm place at a temperature of 15-20°C (59-68°F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination.

What to do Next

When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into pots and trays. Plant out into borders when plants are large enough in the late autumn after sowing, or over-winter plants ina  cold frame and plant out in the spring.

Flowers

June and July the following year.

Height

120-140cm (48-56")

Handy Tip

Allow the flower spikes to dry in the late autumn before cutting down, so that the seed is scattered to produce flowers the following year.
