Early sowings should be made in pots or trays and kept under glass at 13'C. Later sowings can be made direct in flowering site at 1cm deep.

What to do Next

When glasshouse sowings are large enough to handle, prick off into trays 5cm apart. Gradually harden off and plant in flowering site from early May 15cm apart. Gradually thin outdoor sowings to 15cm apart.

Maturity

July to October.

To obtain the best dried flowers, cut just before fully open, hang upside down in small bunches in a dry, well ventilated area.
