When to Sow Lobelia Riviera White Seeds

January to March. Plant out May to June.

Flowers

June to September

Where to Sow

Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed sowing compost in pots or trays. Do not cover the seed. Place in a propagator or a warm place and keep at a temperature of between 20-25°C. After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination which usually takes 10-21 days.

What to do Next

When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to a cooler condition for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost has passed, 15-23cm (6-9") apart.

Handy Tip

A popular edging plant, try alternating with 'Cambridge Blue' Lobelia in front of borders, or red Geraniums.
