Greek Basil is a very compact strain of basil with tiny dark green leaves and white flowers which appear from July to August. This variety would be ideal for sprinkling on salads or adding to oils and vinegars to make something really special for the table.

How To Sow Greek Basil Seeds

Sow Inside

In April/May in a soil-less seed compost. Cover very lighty with soil and keep moist. Initially maintain at 25°C. Prick out when large enough and grow on in small pots and reduce temperature to 20°C. Prefers sheltered site in full sun.

Sow Outside

Not before the beginning of June in the south of the British Isles. Outdoor cultivation is not recommended in the north.

Harvest

Leaves in July and August.
