Vranja is amongst the largest fruited quince varieties that can grow up to a kilo! These magnificent pear-shaped quince with their tell-tale golden bloom on the surafe of the skin are a real joy to grow and to use in the kitchen. Quince paste, jelly and even quince cheese. The fruit has bright yellow skin and when ripening has a furry down covering. This Quince tree can produce an enormous croping owing to their self fertility. Shrubby growing in nature and can be free standing or grown against a wall.
Large pale pink blossoms.
Rootstock Quince A. - Ultimate height of 12-14ft.
Fruits in 3rd year.

PLEASE NOTE: Bare root trees will have the roots wrapped with sufficient soil to keep them moist and healthy during postage. ALL our trees are supplied whilst dormant. They have been carefully lifted and placed in a cold store until despatch. All bare-rooted trees will benefit by being placed in a bucket of water for 24 hours before planting, regardless of the weather.

What are Rootstocks?
Rootstocks are used to control the vigour of fruit trees making them suitable to grow in a small space. They can also contribute to the disease resistance of the plant.
Montclare (semi-dwarfing): Ultimate height 3m (10')
Quince A: Ultimate height 2.5-3m (12-14')
Seedling Peach Montclare: Ultimate height 2m in the ground (dwarf variety 1m if grown in a pot)
St Julian (semi-vigorous): Ultimate height when trained as a bush 12'.
