FENNEL FLOWER (Nigella hispanica) A

Sometimes called Nutmeg flower or Roman Coriander, as it is not a true fennel. Pretty grey/blue flowers similar to Love-in- a-Mist, which produce very aromatic seeds with a nutmeg scent and pungent spicy taste. Use seed in curries and sprinkle on bread and cakes. Also sometimes used with linen to deter insects. Height of 30cm.
