Coriandrum sativum is a type of Coriander, but is also called Cilantro or Indian or Chinese Parsley. Our special selection for leaf production, also produces aromatic seeds. Leaves used in salads and to flavour many Indian and Chinese dishes. Seeds used for curry, chutney and cream cheese. As well as being used for many culinary uses, Cilantro is also said to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits.

Is Cilantro and Coriander the Same thing?

Both Coriander and Cilantro come from this plant. In some parts of the world, Cilantro is the name which refers to the leaves and stems of this herb, and the dried seeds are refered to as Coriander, whereas in other parts of the world, the terms are switched.
