When to Sow Mesa Mix Gaillardia Seeds

These flower seeds can be sown from March to April. They will flower from June to October.

Where to Sow

Sow the seeds on the surface of a good seed compost at a temperature of 20-23°C and lightly cover with a sprinkle of vermiculite or compost. Seedlings will appear after about 10-15 days.

What to do Next

Prick out seedlings when passed the seed leaf stage into trays 5cm (2") apart and grow on. Gradually harden off prior to planting out in the final flowering position, 30cm (12in) apart.

Handy Tip

As a first year flowering perennial it is equally at home in summer bedding displays.
