When to Sow White Lady Lobelia Seeds

January to March

Where to Sow

Sow seed on the surface of a lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Do not cover the seed. Place in a propagator or a warm place and keep at a temperature of between 20-25°C. After sowing do not exclude light as this helps germination which usually takes 10-21 days.

What to do Next

When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost has passed, 23-30cm (9-12") apart.

Flowers

May onwards.

Height

30cm (12")

Handy tip

A popular edging plant, often alternated with Cambridge Blue Lobelia in front borders of Red Salvia.
