Corn Salad Grote Noord Hollandse (Lambs Lettuce)

Corn Salad is a large leaved variety producing very dark green leaves. It can be blanched by placing a pot or box over the plant a few days before cutting. It is best if the leaves are gathered before the plant flowers. Can be grown any time of year but it is most commonly sown in late summer for overwintering under cloches.
Lambs Lettuce is a good addition to a salad, but use sparingly as it is fairly bitter in taste.
