Further sowing your Peas
29 April 2016On the vegetable plot you will need to be making a further sowing of Peas. This week you will need to be sowing a main crop variety like Hurst Greenshaft or Pea Dorian.
It's best to sow peas into double drills spaced 30cm (12in) apart, then you can put a net in-between for them to grow up once required.
You will probably need to sow your peas a little closer than some gardeners with each seed spaced approx 1.25-2.5cm (1/2 - 1in) apart along the seed drills, the reason for this is it eliminates gaps caused through birds or mice taking a few seeds, plus if they all germinate you will get an even larger harvest to enjoy.
