Here at Kings we really cannot stress enough the importance of using brand new, fresh compost when planting your seeds or transplanting into pots. We have conducted a little experiment of our own in our laboratory to truly see the difference between last years compost and new.



As you can see from the above, the results are quite startling. We used the same seed for each photo, and each plant on the right was grown using the compost that was left over from last year, which some of us have been guilty of doing in the past. You can really see that their growth has been stunted. Compare this to the vibrant plants on the left which have been grown using brand new, fresh, nutrient rich compost. There really is no question about how vital it is to have the right compost to produce the best results from your seed.
