An old spice variety. A superb mix of deep purple and blues with touches of white.

Kings seeds recommend using a good quality seed sowing compost and water only with tap water. Do not use butt water as this can contain harmful pathogens, which can result in poor germination.

When to Sow Starry Night Sweet Pea Seeds

September to April

Where to Sow

Sweet pea seeds can be planted into a pot, with 5 seeds in each. Place October, November and March sowings in a cold frame, January sowings in a heated glasshouse. September and April sowings can be made direct in flowering site 2cm deep.

What to do Next

Glasshouse raised seedlings should be hardened off during March. Plant out pot grown seedlings in the flowering site 15cm (6") apart in April. Thin direct sown seedlings to 10cm (4") apart. Pick flowers regularly to encourage new growth.

Late June to September

Handy Tip

Provide sturdy support for sweet pea plants. After a good rain a mature plant will be heavy.
